God is good and wonderful. During my four and half years of ministry here in Hacienda Heights Chinese Church, I have seen God’s miracle every day. “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit.” says the Lord Almighty (Zechariah 4:6). Yes, we don’t have our own “building, property and facilities”, but our good Lord has provided us “Mission, Faith, Unity, Love and Compassion” among our church members, especially among our core leaders. I have experienced joy and blessing of planting a new church. Serving the Chinese Community under the guidance of our good Lord with the Christian fellowship and dedication of our brothers and sisters certainly make our work different and fruitful. Mei Mei and I are blessed to be part of this ministry.
We started from a small Group and grew into a Fellowship and then to a Company. By the grace of God, we are finally attaining a full Church status with 182 members. All this happened in an unbelievably short period of time but the credit belongs only to God. We are just doing his bidding. Without God’s mercy and guidance we can’t possibly achieve any of these. We want to give all the glory and honor to Him. I believe Jesus is coming soon. We need to constantly be reminded to take Jesus’ great commission seriously: “Go and make disciples of all nations”. Let us continue to keep up our good spirit and be united in Christ to extend our ministry beyond our boundary, and to win more souls for the Heavenly Kingdom. He will continue to bless our ministry. Are we ready to meet our Savior?
Thanks to all my dear brothers and sisters for your Christian love through your services to this Christian family and the community in the past. My challenges for you are:
- To deliberately ask for the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
- Pray and study the Bible for at least half an hour every day.
- To care for at least one person’s spiritual or physical need every week.
- To participate in church work/activities at least once every month.
- To study at least one Spirit of Prophecy book every year.
- To win at least one soul for Christ every year.
Once again, thank you for all your supports and prayers. I pray the Holy Spirit will continue to lead us and give us strength to do His work. May God bless each one of you，and His Church.
上帝是何等的美好與奇妙！在哈崗華人教會服侍的四年半中，我每天經驗著上帝的神蹟。萬軍之耶和華說：“不是倚靠勢力，不是倚靠才能，乃是依靠我的靈。”(撒迦利亞書 4:6) 是的，目前雖然我們沒有自己的“建築物，土地及設施”，但上帝為我們在教友中，特別是在我們的核心領袖中預備了“使命、信心、合一、仁愛與熱忱”。我真是體會了植新堂的喜悅和祝福。在主的引領下，藉著主內的團契及弟兄姊妹的奉獻，服務華人社區的工作便變得更有成效的。美美和我有幸成為此傳道事工的一分子，實是蒙福。
我們從一個小組發展成為團契，然後成為佈道所。靠著神的恩典，我們終於成為一所擁有182位教友的正式的組織教會。這一切都發生在一個令人難以置信的短時間內，一切功勞全歸上帝，我們只是依從祂的旨意而行。若沒有上帝的憐憫和引導，我們不可能達成此目標，我們願將一切的榮耀與尊榮歸給祂。我深信耶穌即將復臨，我們需要不斷地被提醒去認真地承擔耶穌的大使命：“你們要去，使萬民作我的門徒”。讓我們繼續持守著那美好的精神並在基督裡的合一，使聖工繼續擴展，並為神的國度拯救更多的生靈。祂將繼續賜福我們的傳道事工。我們是否已準備好迎見我們的救主呢？
感謝所有親愛的弟兄姐妹，過去你以基督徒的愛心去服事這個基督的家庭和社區。我對你的挑戰是：
- 要不斷懇求聖靈的充滿
- 每天至少花半小時研讀聖經及默想禱告
- 每週至少關心一個人的屬靈或肉體的需要
- 每月至少參與一次教會中不同的事奉
- 每年至少研讀一本預言之靈的書籍
- 每年至少帶領一人歸主
再次感謝您所有的支持和代禱。我祈求聖靈繼續帶領我們，使我們有能力做祂的工。願上帝賜福與您們和祂的教會。
